Two years, how has it already been two years? There is a heaviness and sadness in my heart that I've felt since you passed, and nothing I write in this box could ever truly convey the sadness I feel or the amount I miss you, or how much I wish I could see you or hear your voice even just once more. It is still as fresh as the day we lost you, and it doesn't seem fair at all that any of this has really happened. Love and condolences to your family, and to your friends all over the world. To an incredible, kind, happy-go-lucky, fun and inspiring friend, who was always up for a daring and risky adventure and who never took life too seriously, I miss you every day and I could never forget you. You've taught me a tonne and I wish more than anything that today was just another day and that you were here with us now. Lots of love man xx

Time changes nothing, I still miss you today as much as I did when you were first taken away from us. You'll be forever in my heart and I am eternally grateful for your friendship. Thinking of you always.

In my mind I can still see you smiling through the glass in the front door and then taking your shoes off in the hallway and hear your voice so clearly calling up the stairs for Liv. I hope that will always stay with me. We miss you every day x

We fed you your first curry, had we known the last meal was gonna be the last, we would've cherished every moment. The world has lost an angel but heaven has gained one. Truly missed, truly tragic, but your memory will always live on. Such a brave/adventurous lad! Such an inspiration. R.I.P little brother. Not a day goes by when I don't think of you Lucas. I've been feeling your loss as your friends begin to turn 18. After a morning of tears and a heavy heart I decided to watch a film with the boys. They played John Lennon and I took it as a sign from you. I stopped the tears and reminded myself what a cheeky monkey you were and how you always had an answer for everything. Xxxxxxxx

I can not put into words how much I miss my friend and life guru. He taught me how to be the very best I can when it comes to performing. My very last memory of him was the school production of Grease when he was Kenickie and I was Johnny Casino, we only had one scene together but I only remember how happy I was sharing the stage with a crazy-talented person.

Carol, John and Hugo,
I will be thinking of Lucas next Sunday at the Well Street Common Festival and of you all and I'm sure many others will too. Lucas on stage, singing, grinning, his sense of fun, his sheer joy in life.
Much love to you,
Sarah

Dear John, Carol and Hugo,
I have only recently heard the heartbreaking news about Lucas. Unusually for me it's difficult to know what to say, I am really sad and thinking of you at what must be the worst time in anyone's life, to lose a son, a young brother, it makes me weep. I didn't know Lucas though I met him once or twice. However, I have read the messages and he sounds like a diamond.
My thoughts are with you.
Love from Andy.

Lucas, although we only met a handful of times, I feel like I knew you as part of the family because of Liv and all the wonderful words she always had about you. The times that we did meet were fun and I will always remember how smiley you were and I know that memory will be missed by everyone. You will always be remembered as a lovely, caring and happy boy and I feel lucky that I had the opportunity to know you xxx

Lucas,
Although losing you will forever be a great loss to us all, the impact you had on the world will live on in everyone you met. I feel grateful everyday that I was lucky enough to be one of those people, and even more that I got to see you grow alongside my sister and influence her life so wonderfully. Lucas,
Words cannot describe the space you have left in so many of our lives. You were an inspirational person that so many of us admired for your kindness, bravery, selflessness and desire for adventure. I am so happy to have had you in my life and will never forget all the memories we have had. All those times in hamam would be the best part of my day. I cannot find a bad word to say about you, you had the biggest heart of anyone I knew. Your amazing smile and happiness could brighten anyone's day, even if you didn't know them.I will always admire how you never wasted a day and the dreams that you had.
Carol, John and Hugo you should be so proud of the man Lucas became. My thoughts are will all of you as you cope with this huge loss.

Carol, John and Hugo, I am so sorry for your devastating loss. I only knew Lucas from afar as part of such a charming group of older children at Lauriston, singing in E numbered, unicycling. I was going to say my children looked up to them but really it was me who looked up to them. I will remember Lucas as a happy boy coming down Banbury Road on his skateboard.

Lucas, you were a fantastic friend to me for 5 years, I miss you. You were also my favourite person to act with in drama, and I remember us going to ask our teacher if we could be in a group together for our exam because we thought it would give us a better chance at an A, along with a scene involving a slap which you refused to do because you didn't want to actually hit me, just in case it actually hurt. I have too many happy memories with you to count.
You are missed by all your friends and the summer holidays won't be the same. I hope you're continuing to spread happiness where ever you are now, forever love LDrumz.

One of our first memories of Lucas is when he and Carol, John and Hugo used to visit us in Norwich. The first thing Lucas would always do would be to ask the whereabouts of our dog, Juno, he would then go and sit down and ask if she could sit on his lap, which of course, she was always very happy to do. I think this is probably where Lucas's life long love of dogs began. As he got older the second question he would ask is whether I had any amusing stories to tell about my workplace, it got to the stage where when events happened I would consciously think, I must remember this story for Lucas when I next see him. He was always genuinely interested in other people's lives. He was also such a charming boy and one of my most recent recollections is on giving him a cheque for his birthday prior to him leaving for Costa Rica, he wrote me a lovely thank you note, stating that 'mum thought I should buy text books, but I'm going to buy some sunglasses'. This candid remark could not help but bring a smile to my face. I last saw and spoke to Lucas on 22 March this year when I was staying with Carol and John and he 'FaceTimed' Carol from Costa Rica. He was happy, excited about the upcoming Easter holidays and having the time of his life. We will always remember Lucas for his enthusiasm for life, his boundless love for his family and his winning smile. We all miss him and our love and thoughts will always be with Carol, John and Hugo.

I will remember Lucas for the ' How to be Happy' workshop he lead at the LIFEbeat summer camp two years ago. Lots of hugs. It still brings a smile to my face today when I think of it. I will also remember his unfeasibly small rucksack he brought with him to the camp. I asked him was he sure he had enough 'stuff'. He just smiled and shrugged and I instantly realized he didnt do unnecessary 'baggage':-) something Ive spent my life trying to achieve!! :-)
But most of all I will remember him as an inspiring person who was a loving friend to my son and whose presence in this world touched many others too.

My lovely Lucas.

It's almost unbearable to look at your photos and to think I'll never see you again. The words of john Lennon's 'Beautiful Boy' will forever remind me of you. I will play it often and think of the fun times.

I'll love you forever. Xxxxxxxxxxx

Our beautiful loving Grandson Lucas. We were always treated with such love and respect. Always that devastating smile and
a welcoming hug as excited still as a teenager as when he was a toddler to see us.We'll miss him forever, our hearts are broken.

And the stately ships go on
To their haven under the hill;
But O for the touch of a vanish'd hand'
And the sound of a voice that is still.

Break, break, break
At the foot of thy crags, O sea.
But the tender grace of a day that is dead
Will never come back to me.

FAREWELL COMRADE

You were a fine lad
A hardworking man driven by passion
The stairs conversations we had
With such wisdom filled fashion

All those I shall miss,
The sight of you smiling
Is now absent, but you are at peace
Over us you are shining

You made us all smile
With your jokes and kind heart
Was it really your time?
This is just too hard

May your soul find rest
In the bosom of the Lord
You were the best
And meet again we will in God!

I will always remember Lucas the wonderful courageous son of our dear friends Carol and John. We are heartbroken for their loss, together with his brother Hugo, and can only marvel at Lucas's extraordinary personality and magnetic charm. I remember a beautiful child, then a lovely burgeoning adolescent and now a wonderful young man whose future was so wrongly taken away from us all. I can only cherish his memory for who he was, as well as the thought of who he already was and what he would have become. I can only feel a better person for having known him. I can only give thanks to his family for allowing me to know him, and wish that somehow we can give them solace in their grief. Lucas, we will never forget you.

Lucas,

I called you a cousin, but you are more than that. You are brother to me and an inspiration to us all. Your heart is filled with kindness and joy and I believe that has rubbed off onto everyone you have ever met.
The holidays I spent with you are the best memories I have, waking up in Italy, sprinting down the steps and jumping into the pool shouting 'COWABUNGA!'. We didn't grow out of it either, In Cornwall we would scurry down to the beach at night and brave the cold sea together. And of course the countless games of monopoly 'it does a lot to a man to land on bond street'.
I count myself as very fortunate to have had you in my life, you always made the most of life's opportunities and have taught me to do the same.

I miss you dearly,

Love Alistair

Hi John, Carol and Hugo,
Just wanted to say how much I feel for you all. I have great memories of all the POAH sitting around your kitchen table pretending to learn our lines, when in reality we were all just having a great time, and having all of you and Lucas there in such a friendly environment was very special. Dear Carol, John and Hugo,
Although I never got to personally meet Lucas, his presence has been with us in the office ever since the devastating news came in. My thoughts - all of our thoughts - are with you all the time.
There was clearly so, so much that Lucas had to give in his life - yet he was taken away just as he was giving *everything* and stretching himself to the outer edges of who he could be. I hope that in this devastating time this, at least, will leave you with pride in the son and beautiful human being you raised - these were no half measures.
I so much wish you would not have to go through the enormous grief you are having to go through, and I am holding you in my thoughts and heart on this difficult journey.
With deepest sympathy and warmest wishes,
Willa Geertsema

I was lucky enough to know Lucas well in his time at Stoke Newington School. I worked with him in all of the school productions he was involved with as well as helping him with various drama bits and bobs. I genuinely feel like I could call this wonderful young man my friend.

Lucas was such an inspirational boy. He was charming, loving and always positive. In every thing he did he thought of others and would always make sacrifices to help those around him. Watching him work with students from all years groups was truly a thing to behold. He enabled younger students to feel confident in what they we're doing, offering advice or making jokes, as well as being there for the older generations around him. Always reminding us all of the good things in life.

He was talented, hard working and beautiful inside and out. I shall miss Lucas very much. Although I knew him briefly, and in a professional manner, he has genuinely inspired me and shown me how anything is possible if you try.

Lucas, all of us at Stokey miss you very much and we will always remember the brilliant times we had together.

Your spirit lives inside of all of those you have ever met.

Xx
Mr L Stewart.
